Supremely organised and hard-working, Natalie is known for her attention to detail and true business acumen. Always calm under pressure, Natalie's sharp analytical and drafting skills position her as the go-to wordsmith for commercial contracts and as the firm’s M&A specialist. 

 

Natalie is also known for her perceptive and compassionate listening. She uses creativity and critical thinking to push the status quo and create meaningful innovative solutions to clients’ business challenges or opportunities.

She provides corporate, commercial and technology law help to businesses in all industries. Her experience includes:

 

  • Procurement (for goods, services, technology, equipment) and other contractual BAU requirements for NZX listed companies and large corporates, such as terms of trade, customer contracts, privacy issues, issues arising under the Personal Property Securities Act 1999 and RFPs.

  • Custom designed contracts for the commercialisation of novel technology and services and providing corporate and commercial law guidance to start-ups 

  • acting for numerous vendors and purchasers on business sales and purchase transactions, including undertaking due diligence, negotiation and structuring and completion

  • negotiating, structuring and documenting shareholding arrangements and joint ventures

 

With a varied career in business law (with particular expertise in mergers and acquisitions), in both private practice and in-house for large corporates, in NZ and Canada, Natalie is adaptable, learns quickly and is a highly effective project manager.

In joining Maberly & Co, she was attracted to the friendly, down to earth, collective nature of the team and its focus on lawyer wellbeing and flexible work practices. Outside of work, Natalie loves to be active with her family – swimming, running, soccer, hiking but also enjoys some time out with a good historical novel and a glass of pinot gris.
